Baseboards will installed and had another coat of paint applied in the finished flooring areas. The base had been primed and had received one coat of enamel prior to today. You can see the red paper that is being used to protect the new Maple flooring.
If the saw isn't running the back-mounted vacuum cleaner is.
The upper section of handrail was installed today. The lower half will be done on Friday. The old brass mountings have been replaced with chrome.
Bath 03 Shower door has been installed. Mirrors for that bath on Friday.
The Master Bath door was also installed and can now be opened without hitting the toilet.
The plumbers came to adjust the lav trim in Bath 03. It had been installed at 45 degrees to the sink. I believe that was their interpretation of my instruction to 'shape the escutcheons to the bowl'. They are now correct.
They also replace the hot water valve in the Powder Room as well as both shut off valves under the sink. Both had slow drips.

It is now installed and waiting to be unveiled. The blu-ray player and home theater system will be purchased this weekend for installation on Monday AM. Time to look for a short media center to place below the television? Contemporary maple or something rustic?
The wood floor installers have been at it all day. The custom steps look fantastic. Both are now complete.
The existing stone looks pretty good in the new scheme.
And last but certainly not least for today:
The Chimney Cap
Screen doors, paint and more on Friday.
